“Angella Lao traded a stable and well-paid job as a cardiac sonographer for the chance to build a career in technology when her days started to blur into one.

So she pursued a career in tech, as she wanted a job that would challenge her every day and force her to keep learning. She ended up applying for a nine-month, full-time software engineering course at Holberton School Australia…”

Discover our course

Holberton School Australia helps aspiring software engineers launch their tech careers through a collaborative, project-based curriculum.

Over 9-months, students learn the foundations of software engineering and computer science by completing weekly programming projects alongside a cohort of like-minded peers.

The best part? You don’t need any prior tech skills to get started, we’ll teach you how to walk, talk and code like a software engineer from scratch.

Farah — Cohort 17

Farah was a dental nurse who wanted to change career into tech for the flexibility and pay. She is now working as a DevOps Engineer at RACV after learning the foundations of software engineering at Holberton.

Eps — Cohort 19

Eps was working in sales, but always had an interested in computers and gadgets – so he applied for a Holberton scholarship. 9-months later, he was working as an Associate Software Engineer at Reece Tech.

Angella — Cohort 20

After working as a Cardiac Sonographer for 10 years, Angella was itching to pursue something new. So, she applied for Holberton and learnt software engineering from scratch. She is now a Tech Graduate at PEXA.
